NOTICE!!!  We have recently expanded our product line and are VERY excited about it!  We now offer custom commercial embroidery services along with our new line of personalized doggie and goat bandanas and sweaters.  That's right!  Our furry friends love to be fashionable as well!!!  ;o)  Check it out!

Nestled in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley, Rocky Acres Ranch Equine Designs was established in September 2005.  We started making our own stretch sheets and hoods  for the horses we were showing.  At the time, we were also taking in rescue horses, and needed something to bring in an income for their feed, hay, medications, vet  and farrier visits.  After many months of hits and misses, we finally got it down to a craft and decided to offer our products to other people as well to offset the costs of caring for these horses and ponies.   At the present time, we offer custom designed stretch sheets, hoods , tail bags and braid-in tail wraps for any size horse or pony.  We do our best to keep prices down and affordable for any and all equestrians.  Although, we no longer take in rescues on a regular basis, the slinky business continues to grow.  We have recently added a commercial embroidery machine to our business and now offer custom embroidery with thousands of patterns to choose from.  Jackets, uniforms, hoodies, shirts, towels, beanies, bandanas just to name a few of the items that can be personalized.  Be sure to check out our new embroidery page to view some of our items.

A friend of ours always says that when he passes, he wants to come back as one of our horses.  I guess that means that we go a little bit overboard but it's the least we can do for these guys who bring us so much happiness and joy.  So, sit back, kick off those shoes and enjoy your trip thru our site.  Be sure to sign our questbook because we love to hear from you guys.   Check back often as we are picture junkies and will always be adding new ones.  ENJOY!!!

This handsome fellow  is Rocky.  He is a handmade, handpainted  Christmas gift to us in 2005 from two very special friends and he is now our Ranch mascot.  Rocky doesn't eat very much and he hardly ever argues with us when we ask him to do something.  He doesn't need grass, grain or water, and we never have to worm or vaccinate him.  He doesn't have to be brushed or bathed, and he never needs to be checked for ticks or other varmits.  He  nevers bucks or kicks and he doesn't require shelter from the weather.  All in all, Rocky just doesn't do alot of anything besides sit around and look pretty.   The beautiful thing about being a wooden rocking horse is that he will never know the sting of a whip or a human's hand when he misbehaves.  He will never be thirsty or deprived of something to eat.  He will never have to struggle with his herdmates for a place in the pecking order and he will never  know the feeling of having no shelter from inclimate weather conditions.   He will never feel the pain of being dragged behind a vehicle while being taught to lead and he will never  know the struggle of trying to figure out why a human is whipping him when he doesn't understand something.   He will never know the pain of chronic laminitis or Navicular Syndrome and he will never know the pain from a blown tendon from being pushed too hard on the track and then thrown away because he can't run anymore.  He will never know how it feels to lose his dam when only a few days old and have to be fed by humans without his mom there to teach him the ropes of being a horse.   All in all....Rocky is one lucky fellow to not be able to feel anything or have to witness any of these horrible conditions.   Unfortunately,  not all horses are as lucky as he is.   That is why we do what we can to educate people and help these horses live a long and healthy life.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your visit!

This little cutie is Rocky's sister, Minnie.  She was created by our very special friends who created Rocky.  Minnie is tiny and doesn't take up much room but don't let her size fool you!  Rocky is not necessarily the boss in this pecking order...Minnie can definitely hold her own against the big guy!
